Yoga Therapy

Yoga is one of the most complete and popular alternative forms of medicine.

Yoga is an ancient system of well-being. It is a psych-spiritual discipline. In its origins, Yoga was transmitted by a Teacher to a student, and the practice, much like a doctor's prescription, was tailored to this individual, for their unique needs. "Yoga is not a standardized practice" (1) whereas modern medicine treats the disease, Yoga (therapy) treats the person.

Yoga therapy is the term used when adaptation of yoga practices for the individual. As an alternative medicine, it can aid in the alleviation of many different ailments, including back pain, hypertension, heart conditions, asthma, diabetes, hyperacidity, IBS, cancer, MS, ME, migraine, RSI and psychosomatic illness caused by stress.

Yoga therapy uses physical postures, breathing practices, relaxation techniques and meditation to help restore body/mind balance and promote natural healing. With these appropriate tools, the student is empowered to care for their own health. Tapping into our own internal resources we can heal, rebalance, and replenish ourselves.

The goal is to lead the student on their path to FEELING BETTER, THINKING BETTER, and LEADING A BETTER LIFE.

The role of the teacher is to be a perceptive, compassionate, knowledgeable, intuitive guide in this process. Rana is dedicated to this process.
